Five phosphor themes: classic green, amber, ice, white, and HUD 2029. Scanlines, flicker, barrel warp, brightness, sounds, all yours to tune or turn off. The status bar itself is configurable, and every hideable button keeps a second door so nothing can become unreachable.

How the trial works, plainly: the 7 days start the first time you run it, and the clock is kept on our server against the machine, not in a file on your disk. Reinstalling or wiping settings will not start it over. That is the only way to run a real trial and still be fair to the people who paid. When the week is up, ByteBar asks for a Candy Bar (your license key) and there is a buy button right there in the door. Your sessions and settings stay put.
Heads up on the install: this build is code-signed, so Windows names Tech Fort LLC as the publisher instead of "Unknown". SmartScreen may still show a warning until enough people have downloaded it; if it does, click "More info" then "Run anyway", and check that the publisher line says Tech Fort LLC. Installing over an older ByteBar updates it in place and keeps your settings, sessions and license.
