This page lists everything ByteBar collects, in full. If it is not on this page, we do not collect it.

What we never collect

ByteBar is a terminal. Everything you type in it, everything Claude says back, your prompts, your files, your code, your session history: none of it ever leaves your computer through us. There is no analytics SDK, no tracking pixel, and no telemetry beyond the license checks described below.

When you buy

Your payment is processed by Intuit QuickBooks Payments. We receive your name and email address so we can send your license key and your receipt. We never see your full card number.

When the app checks its license

ByteBar contacts our license server when you activate and occasionally afterward to confirm the key is still valid. Each check sends:

Our server also notes, from the connection itself:

That is the entire list.

How long we keep it

License records are kept for as long as the key exists, because they are what makes your key work. If you want your purchase records deleted after a refund, or have any question about your data, email christian@techfort.net and a person will handle it.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell, rent, or share any of the above with anyone, ever. The only parties that touch any of it are our payment processor (Intuit) and our hosting provider (Cloudflare), each only in the course of doing their job.
