This is the agreement between you and Tech Fort LLC of Spokane Valley, Washington ("we", "us") for the ByteBar software. We wrote it in plain English on purpose. If you have a question about what any of it means, email christian@techfort.net and a person will answer you.
One license key. It activates ByteBar on up to 2 computers you own or control, and it includes every update we release for 12 months from your purchase date. When the 12 months are up, the app keeps working forever with whatever version you have. You are buying the software, not renting it.
ByteBar is a terminal for Claude Code. Claude Code and the Claude models belong to Anthropic and are governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by this one. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Your Anthropic usage costs are yours; ByteBar shows you your usage, it does not change what Anthropic bills you.
The software is provided as-is. We work hard on it and we fix real bugs fast, but we do not promise it is free of defects or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for lost work, lost profits, or consequential damage from using it. Our total liability to you is capped at what you paid for the license. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
We can revoke a key that was obtained fraudulently, refunded, or shared publicly. Revocation for sharing or fraud is not eligible for a refund.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
What the app tells our server, in full, is listed on the privacy page. The short version: license checks and version info, never your terminal content.
